STATEMENT OF THE STAFFORDSHIRE BRANCH OF THE UK KOREAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION

Our branch wishes to support the recent statement made by the UK KFA inregards to our zero tolerance to infiltrators from the Far Right within the ranks of our organisation. The KFA as a body is an inclusive and broad-based organisation committed to friendship and solidarity with the Korean people, our organisation has members from various political parties and members, persons who have a cultural and travel interest in the DPRK, members who are Trade Unionists, Peace Campaigners, Anti-Imperialists and from the world of business and commerce. The KFA welcomes members and sympathizers who come from various ethnic and religious groups, people of all genders and sexual orientations, and with disabilities. Membership of the KFA is open to anyone from the age of 18 upwards. In recent weeks it has come to our attention that has been attempts by members of certain Far Right Groups to infiltrate the membership and try to cause provocations and disruptions to our work. On some occasions, these elements have sought to discredit the reputation of the UK KFA and sully our standing as our solidarity organisation. Fascism, racism and the politics of the Far Right have no place whatsoever within the ranks of the UK KFA and will be duly dealt with. The UK KFA desires to grow stronger in this country so as to carry out its mission of promoting peace and reunification upon the Korean peninsula and defending the right of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea to exist!
